Job Scope/Responsibilities:

Global Market Data Services (MDS) provides solutions for, implements and operates the firm’s market data, DMA and low latency price delivery infrastructures.  The Global MDS Operations team, a team within the Global MDS Technology & Operations organization provides global 24x7 operational support and incident management services for the firm’s referential, real-time and DMA systems.

The team currently has two open, full-time E-commerce Analyst positions in our Kuala Lumpur office.  The role reports directly to the Global MDS Operations Team Lead. 

The successful applicants are expected to be proficient in service management and system monitoring, preferably with a technical background (UNIX, Networking or Market Data).

Operational responsibilities include:

·         Shift work, as agreed within the team, participating as a team member in the 24x7 Market Data Services Operations Centre

·         Monitor, provide analysis and escalate system faults and alarms

·         Monitor and escalate to collocation facility managers any system faults, alarms, or facilitate work orders

·         Operate an incident escalation frame-work, taking ownership of market data incidences and managing them to conclusion.

·         Follow and enhance best practices and system operation procedures.

·         Develop system, application and latency monitoring implementation and tuning

·         First point of contact for the MDS team: building relationships with technology and business clients

To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Analyst, most likely from a UNIX, application monitoring, or internetworking background with very strong communication skills and an ability to liaise at all levels.

Reports to the Global MDS Technology & Operations Manager

Essential Skills / Experience:

Required (years):

·         3+ Unix: Solaris 2.8, LINUX RHEL

·         2+ Perl, SH, CSH and KSH

·         Rendezvous, Solace, LBM, or other middleware

·         Experience Reuters, Wombat or ActivFinancial Direct Feeds

·         Working knowledge of networking concepts and appliances

Preferred (advantage):

·         RMDS / TRIARCH / TIBCO

·         Working with market data real time applications, knowledge of SFC, SSL, RFA and RSSL APIs

·         Experience with contributions infrastructure, e.g. Arconet, Gissing, MLIP

·         Experience with complex event engines and data stores, e.g. RTCE, OneTick

·         Reuters 3000Xtra, MSW / MSU, PPP

·         OpenVMS / Windows Server

·         Hawk, Net agent, Tekmon, ITRS, Tipoff

Other:

·         Degree, or equivalent preferred

·         Excellent spoken and written English

·         Excellent communicator

3+ years of experience in the financial services space
